A Sunday laundry list - getting RE-married

I've had this post in me for a while, but seeing as I want it to be a more complete laundry list of resources for those walking down that aisle for a second time, I thought it best to wait for the weekend. Without further ado, THE list...

These 2 resources provide top to bottom thought provocations for marrying a divorce(e) or marrying a widow(er). Both very thorough reads.

The next listings help break down the potentially sticky subjects that can hinder a second (or any) marriage, but can also be a breeze to deal with thanks to proper planning. Everything from spouse's religon to bringing kids into the family is covered in this excellent Guide to Remarriages.

Specific financial related advice (including a thoughtful discussion of prenuptial agreements is found in this Financial Guide to Remarriages.

Moving past those topics, the seemingly last thing to cover would be the second wedding itself-- after all, it's a VERY big day! This Guide to the Second Wedding Day is a great resource. Examples of both invitations and announcements are shown. Ideas for the traditional second wedding and the nontraditional second wedding are included, as well as destination wedding choices.

Lastly, a fascinating follow up read is on second wedding etiquette.

Enjoy!

All about diamonds!

Before getting too seriously involved in my hunt for the perfect diamond (or diamonds, who knows?!), I decided I needed more information-- I needed to know what exactly makes a diamond special, be it loose diamonds, or for use in a diamond rings. I needed to know how to choose my diamonds, and basically, how not to get caught with a poor rock. I needed to know all this, and Leo Schachter helped me out bigtime!
